Our Top Tips for Driving Safely With Holiday Food

During the holidays, thousands of people travel with food in their cars either to or from a relative or friend's house. Unfortunately, unsecured food can easily end up spilled all over your seats which can cause not only a mess, but an unsafe distraction. Here's a few tips to help you travel safely with food in your car.

  • Keep your food in the backseat with someone sitting back there who can easily keep an eye on it. They may also grab it if you make a sharp turn or sudden stop. If you don't have any passengers, you can secure the box with a seatbelt.
  • Place food containers in a box packed with towels to keep them from sliding around or spilling.
  • Double check that all of your containers are sealed shut and secure before you get behind the wheel.

These tips are brought to you by your friends at Ontario Mazda. We wish you a happy holiday season!
